| All About Us Rainbow Rescues Inc was established in 2008 to help complete families by placing loving pets in their forever homes. After several years of unofficial pet placement and animal welfare work a brother and sister team decided to create an organization to find homes for abandoned, neglected, abused, or surrendered pets whose owners are unable to afford or care for them. Rainbow Rescues Inc is a 501(c)3 non-profit Animal/Pet Rescue. We are registered with the Department of Agriculture and are registered with the Attorney General. Our rescue consists of a group of loving individuals who have seen the need for help in our animal community and the need for education for the general public about pet training, socialization, vaccination, and sterilization. What We Do Rainbow Rescues Inc is a volunteer run agency created to help find homes for surrendered, abandoned, abused, homeless, unwanted or neglected pets. We accept all animals except for large livestock, though we will provide referral services for livestock surrenders. Each animal surrendered to our agency is evaluated for health and temperament issues, vaccinated, and altered. We charge a small adoption donation for our animals which helps to cover the medical treatment for the animals and all of the provisions needed for our foster homes. Please realize that no one affiliated with this rescue receives any type of compensation except for a lot of good feelings. 100% of the adoption donations and 100% of all other donations are used strictly for the pets, their care, and their placement. Maria and Shawn O'Brien have been involved in pet and animal activities for well over 15 years. Brother and sister have dedicated their lives to helping as many animals as they can through education, understanding, training, and love. |
